Getafix: whats the point in going against Govt when the public ( to which the govt is answerable to ) does not even care? If anything RK and TV9 should ask this question themselves first.
sorry, your view is very myopic. What people care is irrelevant in this scenario. If people doesnt like those channels, financially they would have died without any effort from anyone else. |

vunkl, there restrictions are all along,what this MSO is claiming is BS. there are 90 channels, but not all packages need to include the same packages. There is no restrictions on the type of packages that can be created by an MSO. So he is saying tha the cannot create a package where these two channels can be included

I have spent some time reading on this last night... Here is the sequence
1) MSO's banned the channels
2) Channels filed case against the MSO's using TDSAT, and TDSAT has directed that MSO's cannot block these channels, doing so would be illegal on their part and their licenses are liable to get canceled
3) MSO's restore the channels for a few hours
4) MSO's block the channel again.
MSO's are doing something illegal, if the channels continue to pursue legal action MSOs will get into trouble, but a CM who is supposed to hold the law, is supporting these MSO's and getting the public involved through emotions, which will undermine the legal process.
He is now an elected representative, and his role is to uphold the law and not get involve in political vendettas. |
