Schooling is one good criteria.. Most of the time low rated schools lo you won't find good competition, company for your kid and can the atmosphere will worsen as it goes elementary to middle to high.. I am looking since some time.. Robbinsville commute is not bad.. Hamilton station is the closest.. because of the inherent sheep mentality I want to try renting some place in WW-Plainsboro before deciding.. WW-Plainsboro homes Mega-budget.. so if for whatever reason I dont like.. I will be stuck as we will be buying at a premium.. NJ market amma bothe adavi.. konabothe korivi.. I felt South Brunswick and Plainsboro priced around similarly.. but if I can save 30 min every day commute to NY.. I would choose Plainsboro. Also Pennington & Robbinsville now have decent desi community , good schools and better commute compared to South Brunswick with homes in 500-800k range.. Jai JanaSena | ||

WW-Plainsboro no of kids in elementary or middle schools is too high.. why are people going so crazy. With so many kids for each grade how are they able to maintain the standard? how are the facilities in these schools? or is it just the competition thats bringing the best? based on some research I did Robbinsville - Upcoming , schools getting there - decent home for 550-700k Monroe - (Commute to NY can not) - 500- 700k Pennington - worth a look - 500 - 800k Marlboro - Commute to NY not as good as the red line - 500- 800k Basking Ridge - Same as above - 700k - 1m Montgomery - worth a look - 500 - 800k West windsor- Plainsboro - getting too pricey.. but I see trend is going to continue.. - 600-1m Jai JanaSena | ||

Some ppl said, it is tough for princeton high school kids to get into premium schools because they don't prefer lot of kids from same school. They would probably pick 2-3 from one school max so that they can diversify.. What is your take on that? If a kids gets x cpa from princeton and another kid from Monroe gets same gpa and all other same qualifications of other kid from princeton - kid from Monroe has more chances to get into top school becuase he is not competing with his classmates Don't say you don't have enough time. Princeton is old town.. it is hard to find new unless custom houses.. even if you find the lot sizes will be less.. if you want big house with big lots the best places would be Marlboro, Monroe and Manalapan. if for the school district.. South Brunswick picking up good too.. | ||

first one with lowered price is stand alone home. 2nd one is toll brothers home in 100+ houses community. 98% asains. Check this one in Marlboro, NJ.. excellent schools. In the market for 4-5 months.. price reduced twice.. still no takers.. Is it by Toll brothers? House bagundhi.. best for the price.. NJ did not pick up the market for 1M+ houses. The Princeton area should be fine. I am surprise they lowered the price but still no takers. Built in 2006 and sold in 2009 and selling again now. Oka community lo unna majority houses desis konte parledu kaani, another trend I observed (at least in my state) is few desis (friends from India or became friends after coming to US) bought thier houses in same street. I was asking what if one of you had to sell the house in future?? Only another desi could/should buy otherwise it would be tough.. Does no such situation there in NJ? every house by Desi??
