In my case I borrowed some money from my friend for down payment. At that time banker gave me a form similar to the one you mentioned in initial post. My friend signed it infant of the banker at that time. Then they approved the loan. I have no idea if they have different rules/forms for foreign funds. It is better to check with the mortgage officer. | ||

Lender bank will go over your account and ask for details on any deposits. If you say they are gift, they will give you a form the you need the gift-giver to fill and sign. I did that before my closing and the letter template was given by the mortgage lender. | ||
