Temples do their own philanthropic acts. govts shouldnt interfere in that. If govt need funds for education they can make a direct appeal for public. why to siphon temple funds given by hard earned devotees?
Having said that all temples should stop putting hundi and start taking money and provide proper receipts to avoid the floating of black money. |

Using temple's income/money on good programs is OK, but it has LOT OF flaws:
1) Only Hindu temple's are used for this purpose. Government should bring Masjid/churches also under this plan
2) They should start putting notices in temples mentioning that the government has right to use these donations to other than temple related constructions/maintenance etc.
All the above logics aside, I personally don't have any objections if government uses temples money for betterment of society and its people. |
