receiver is just receiver..it doesnt have anything except enhancing ur audio input. typical receivers have 4-5 HDMI inputs and 1 hdmi output. you plug ur mutiple devices (xbox,bluray player,ps3) etc into the HDMI inputs. they all reside at once place so you may need small hdmi cables(depending on your components). the one big hdmi from receiver to projector goes to hdmi out of receiver and other end into projector..also for most of these you may need internet connectivity(receivers and xbox/bluray player etc etc)..so if possible hardwire ethernet kooda set chey basement lo at one point where you want to place receiver and other devices. single point is enough..you can use ethernet hub to connect multiple devices there..or you can just manage with your router provided you have a high end one Happy Vizag | ||

120" screen is decent, but is manual pull down. If you are going to leave it open all the time, then it is ok. If you are pulling it manually for every use (frequently), you will end up with uneven waves on the screen. In that case, get a motorized screen. | ||

The guy who is finishing my basement will do wiring as per my requirement. Is there any special requirement for wiring? If there is I get wires and give it to him so ge can run them and put outlets where needed. | ||

Guys, I need help with my home theater set in basement. I am novice and don't have any idea about the home theater equipment or setup. So please go easy on me. I did little bit of research and after few hours it did not take me anywhere. My budget : 2000 - 2500 Room : 14X20 ( light controlled) Simba, Jacky, Mav or anyone who has experience with this please help. Questions: screen size I am thinking of 16:9, 120" pull down (Is this good for the room size?) Speakers: 5.1 Do I need towers or bookshelf front speakers or wall mounted? Where do you spend more? |
