Already with the 7 mandals going to A the lower sileru power plant is gone leading to 450 MW loss for T couple that with the PPA net loss as is would be 950MW apart from the shortfall for T. Going to supreme is not going to help here because if the State re-organization bill is the roadmap document to be followed for everything then PPA's stay and Polavaram is deemed to be accepted. Sileru is gone case for T in that case, hopefully the Dam itself would be useful enough and the design withstands the force of the river. @RBABU , finally found the reason for the difference between my calculation and Media&GOVT calculation nenu total installed capacity (16000 MW) ki account loki teesukunna calculation hence 2000 MW loss T ki if PPAs cancelled kaani actual generating capaicty only 8900 MW anta out of installed 16000 MW , and hence T ki loss 600MW if PPAs cancelled SO na calculation , valla calculation both correct in perspective While the total installed capacity in both States stands at over 16,700 megawatts, the actual combined generation stands at mere 8,900 MW as of now. If the allocations are based on the predetermined shares of 54 per cent and 46 per cent respectively, for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States, the former would get nearly 4,800 MW. However, if the PPAs are to be rescinded, the power availability for Telangana would get reduced to about 4,200 MW, resulting in deficit of close to 600 MW. 2019 - 2049 ( Ekkithe Digadu ) | ||

babu repot mottam chaduvu, you and I are not water management experts, there are numerous reports on the viability of a dam at polavaram keeping in mind the nature of the soil and the contour of the land there apart from other factors such as submergence. Again as I said its not going to stop if I wish it or go ahead if you wish it. It is all up to the central govt now and the courts. Don't worry anyway Ichampally is approved and coming up on the top and that should be good to take care of 4 districts in TG. This will benefit the Telangana backward tribal areas immensely. 3) Even if any flood exceeding the designed PMF (Possible Maximum Flood) of 50 lakh Cusecs) occurs due to any future climate changes, such a flood can safely pass through the low barrages proposed in the alternative design, as an unobstructed flow. In the case of a dam, it would result in a breach causing surge flows (Tsunami like) of stored reservoir water. If such an event occurs during nights, 50 lakh people living on the downstream side will have a watery grave before they rise up in the morning, according to âDam Break Analysisâ conducted by the National Institute of Hydrology and other studies. Even in the case of a breach of the low barrage (proposed now), there will be no such surge flows, as the barrage does not store any water above the incoming flood flow level. Such natural peak flood flows would occur gradually over a period of days (and not suddenly like in a dam break) and people will have time to vacate and go to higher grounds earmarked for them. 4) The alternative design can be executed in less than half the time required for the high dam at a much lesser cost (about Rs. 6000 Crores cheaper). 5) It is easier to get all the clearances required from the Ministries of Government of India for the alternative design, as the submersions are less than one fourth of dam design. Special status leka pothe there is no incentive (other than patriotic to home state) to move to AP. The corporations will receive their VAT anyway. This is a real key. Tarvatha AP should aggressively campaign to get corporations registered and setup offices in AP. | ||

VAT will be collected in the location where there are corporate head quarters for in the state. VAT lo Govt. VAT vundi : example state distributed Liquor, Petrol etc products Private VAT : BATA, Titan, Heritage etc nunchi any private enterprise with corporate office in Hyderabad. http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/economy/telangana-vat-a- big-deal/article5007411.ece Govt. revenues can be collected recovered more easily but for private sector, unless the companies move to new capital in AP and register there, revenue will go to Hyderabad. I dont there is a rule that coporations should setup state headquarters in every state they sell their goods. So a corporation in Mumbai could sell in Andhra Pradesh through its distribution channels without necessarily registering a state-level headquarters. My math : As per T bill : AP gets 7660 MW [ 46% of 13,000 + 48% of 3,500 = 5,980 MW + 1680 MW ] Telangana gets 8840 MW [54% of 13,000 + 52% of 3,500 = 7020 MW + 1820 MW ] If CBN master stroke works : AP gets 9610 MW [ 61% of 13,000 + 48% of 3,500 ] Telangana gets 6890MW [ 31% of 13,000 + 52% of 3,500 ] 2019 - 2049 ( Ekkithe Digadu ) | ||

Background : 1)Undivided AP power production Capacity was 13,000 MW (state) + 3,500 MW (central) 2)If divided, Geographically , Power production capacities of AP is 61%, Telangana is 39% 3)Power Production is different from Power distribution (aka Power allocation) to each zone; Each Zone has to "BUY" power from "Producer" as per PPA (Power Purchase agreements) ; this PPA will be the keyword from now onwards 4) Undivided AP power allocation is as per PPA : 15.87% = Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam ,East Godavari ,West Godavari 30.31% = Krishna ,Guntur, Prakasam ,Nellore, Kadapa, Chittor ,Atpr ,Kurnool 15.80% = Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Adilabad 38.06% = Hyderabad , Ranga Reddy, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda How T bill says? a)Power plants i.e. power production belongs to the state in which it is geographically located b)Power distribution(aka paid allocation) continues as per point #4 above as per PPAs c) Central govt owned plants' power (just 3.5K out of total 16.5K) is distributed on last 5 yr consumption pro-rated i.e. telangana 52%, AP 48% What is the impact ? * No immediate threat to Telangana power sector because, even though they produce just 31% of eletricity they got covered for 54% of total undivided AP production ( ofcourse T has to pay AP for that) but atleast Telangan will get power ( i repeat paid power) * AP which produces 61% of total power gets only 46% (ofcourse paid for rest by T) NOW, WHAT IS THE LATEST ISSUE: ? T bill lo clause emiti ? existing PPA wise ye power allocation continue avvali ani T bill lo undhi....AP 61% produce chesi kuda power cuts tho continue avvali....PPAs is the root cause CBN master mind worked here..asalu ee PPAs ne cancel chesthe ? PPAs are governed by APERC which governs APGENCO which produces the power ! Yesterday APERC chetha mottham anni distribution discoms ki notice pettaru..ALL PPAs cancel dobbeyyandi ani !! If this goes thru ( without hurdles from central govt ) , AP WILL GET 61% of UNDIVIDED AP's power and 24X7 Uninterrupted power for industries, for farmers T goes dark as kiran kumar reddy warned unlimited times.
