Baga gripping ga theesadu....Akshay did a very very good job. Fit the role of an Army Secret Agent to the T. In fact, apart from him and probably Salman, no one else could have done this role. | ||

It has been probably more than a decade since i have seen a mainstream Hindi movie in a theatre. Finally i end up at Holiday, it is my first Akshay movie in a hall. The movie was totally worth waiting for. Murugadoss did a fantastic job..very tight, rivetting screenplay. Maintained a high degree of control in handling a serious subject without making it too heavy. There was no separate comedy track - whatever comedy was there mas managed through the hero's sidekick and Sonakshi's character. Though a couple of songs might have been deemed excessive, rest of the movie is taut. Akshay also did a very good job without going overboard anywhere. Some of the screenplay twists are really stunning. Within the traditional confines of the commercial Indian movie, Holiday is a very good movie and is very unlike the stereotyped South Indian masala movie. |
