it depends on your county and city ; for ex if your county tax is 2% and city tax is 1% , your property tax is 3% of house say 200k = 6k ; that is you don't have to pay taxes for this , may be a 2k savings in real ;and s you end up paying 4 thousand as tax , which is 2%

why do you want to buy ? to live of lifestyle or as investment ? If your on H1 and only 3 moths , will you bring cash to buy as you have not enough credit score to get mortgage
