They are only investing in infrastructure to have products reaching to the end customer but what about their suppliers? farmers? Nada zilch and next time you visit a reliance or spencers ask the manager where they get their vegetables from! Simple reason none of the companies you mentioned have the real know how of running a retail business. I don't want to get into an argument because i'm heading of for a meeting but let me ask you a simple question why has potato production in Punjab taken off after McD starting it's operations or how balaji wafers is where it is after their partnership with PepsiCo or why Hero motors has a better market share compared to Bajajs & TVS. Simple reason our retail companies don't/won't invest in the value chain but when Tesco or Walmart come they do that which will benefit the end customer and the farmer. | ||
