We must realize that no matter how many Kapu MLAs we have in TDP govt or YSR govt, we will have NO POWER in decision/ policy making. Kapus will be there just to carry their Pallakis. While other forward castes continue to loot and command the state resources, Kapus will be waiting for the bread crumps thrown to them. It’s time for Kapus to think carefully and make their choice. Kapus can never trust Chandrababu Naidu. For power, he stabbed his own Father-in-law. Why would he care for Kapus? Once he gets the power, we know which community controls the state. Kapus shouldn’t forget the fact that TDP govt involved in the killing of Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga, who challenged the dominance of richer and more organized community in Vijayawada. Kapus will get similar treatment from Jagan. He is a megalomaniac. He will continue to gobble the resources of state. He will never let anyone else share the power. Kapu MLAs will have to leave their Chappals outside, before entering his office. Kapus are the single largest and the most hard working community. Our thoughts and general nature is more in sync with Congress party, which has elevated and given a good recognition to our community. We will be in a much better situation by staying with a National Party. We can achieve more by staying united. We can involve in rebuilding the state, share the power and decision making and we can prosper as a community and help other communities who need help. Please, make the right decision, when you vote on May 7th. | ||

The bi-furcation of Andhra Pradesh has been a major milestone in the history of Andhra Pradesh. While most of the Telangana population celebrated, the whole Seemandhra is disappointed and felt let down. Before we could recover and digest the situation, we are faced with both Assembly and Parliament elections. Congress is being painted as the main villain and taking the blame for the bifurcation of the state. But people continue to ignore the fact that both TDP and YSR-Cong supported the bifurcation. Naidu continued to make conflicting statements but never explained what he meant by “equal justice”. We all understand that caste plays a critical role in AP politics. Voters continue to make choices based on the caste of the candidate and the leadership. While other forward caste’s stay united behind the curtains and continue to control the politics and state’s resources, Kapus fail to unite themselves and command their share or power. The only way Kapus could see progress is by education and employment. Other forward castes continue to become richer and powerful by controlling the real estate, business and industries of the state. However, for the last 10-15 years, Kapus have started making steady progress by getting educated and working hard. We must thank Chiranjeevi and his family for working hard and making a mark in the film industry, which was once dominated by other communities. We can’t ignore the fact that chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam helped Kapus unite further and getting attention from the Congress high command. The last five years Kapus enjoyed further prominence in the country. Dr. Pallam Raju, union minister for HRD, became a source of pride for not only Kapus but for the whole Telugu community. Kapus played a very important role by holding two ministries at the center and also as PCC president for the joint state. In politics, It has been the best period for Kapus so far. However we must realize that we can do better as a community. | ||
