I am not questioning the technology here .. I am questioning the rules .. asala umpire ki call vadalatam bad .. there is a scope of fixing there .. I know lot of umpires used to do very carefully fir wel known batsmen the likes of richrds gavaskars .etc. but tailenders ki vachetappatiki atrocious ga chesetollu umpiring.. there should not be any room of doubt .. | ||

Annay, the first test series where DRS was introduced for the first time was during Ind -SL test series which was Mendis debut series; dantlo in retrospect 95% of the LBW calls which were given out using DRS would have been given not out now, flaw is always going to be there because at the end of the day it's humans who decide the predictive path of the ball. So 100% improvement ante it is relative to the technology present in the past to present technology in other words there will always be a probability of error as and when advances are made. Bottomline is that Martin Crowe is supporting BBCI's stand that the DRS system is flawed and isn't fool proof. Hence the same needs to be discarded and built from scratch rather than using it in the current avatar. He feels that BCCI won't be convinced yet. However I feel that if the technology is helping the umpire to take a correct decision and is even a 10% improvement over human flaws it shud be persisted with even while advances are upgraded. | ||
