Pathetic plight of flying now is that it isn't any royal anymore. You purchase a flying ticket shelling thousands of dollars, and you are left to your own comfort and convenience. There was once a time when a elite few could afford flying. Times have changed, more people have begun flying more frequently, which should ideally boost businesses and profits. Still don't get how air-lines have to downsize while maintaining supply in their services for the increased flying demands? The problem with even the Dubai airport is that they treat Emirates terminal very well with great facilities, if you go to the C gates where the rest of the flights go, they look worse than a third world airport...everything looks dated, poorly maintained..same is the case with Visas, if you travel on Emirates, you will get UAE visa in 2 days, if you are travelling on any other airlines, it will take more than a week...discriminating bastards.. | ||

i have never traveled with them, and probably wont until they treat all travelers the same. my friend's wife was traveling to india, knowing her father was on death bed, and the flight from dubai to hyd got overbooked. apparently, they give preference to Dubai sheiks, when there is such a conflict. a Dubai sheik with five other passengers were chosen over her. she pleaded them explaining her situation but it was of no use, as the sheik has to with draw himself and he did not. she reached home the next day only to find her dad already passed away. the world of appearances may or may not be real, or both may and may not be real - or may be indescribable; or may be real and indescribable, or unreal and indescribable; or in the end may be read and unreal and indescribable - its all Syadvada | ||

Still stuck - edi emaina America super amma. Rathri Dubai flight nanchi nanchi 3 am ki cancel ayyindi.. First crew had to come to clean the flight and then the pilots legally allowed time to remain waiting and fly was over..so the captain said they have no other option but to jump...so we were left stranded. I really felt sorry for some old people and Indian aunties and was helping them out suggesting some alternate routes to India. Now another flight at around 4 pm. I wonder when i will be able to rest my feet and catch some sleep... | ||

If people can't come to the airport, run some charter buses, get some Hummvees to get them to the airport....anthe kani, no point running the airport with 10 people.... Ek Macchar ATL ko hijra bana diya. Entandi idhi, oka 2-3 inches snow ke city motham sanka nakipoyindi. First time in my life missed a flight. Naa maanana nenu via Atlanta, transit avuthunna. 6:15 pm ki ATL – CDG – DEL flight. 3:30 landed in ATL from Mexico. Waited till 5:15 in the flight because there was no gate available as many flights from previous day were rescheduled and many more were cancelled and were sitting occupying the gates. So I had one hour left to catch my Paris flight. US has this insane policy that if you are transiting via US to another country then you have clear customs and do security check in again. So I had to clear customs which luckily took 5 minutes. I was out by 5:30 and I was happily running to security check. Then another struggle – 1 km of security checkin queue, manned by only 2 security counters. There was no ground staff from Delta to call out people who have flights leaving shortly. There was no separate queue for Business Class. And the security would not allow us to move ahead. So we were stuck there for another 1 hours and I ran to the gate with shoes and belt in hand. And for a change a flight from ATL left on time and I was screwed. Then another 1.5 hours to get a ticket reissued. Finally going back through Dubai. Delta surely must be the worst flight (whether on economy or business) that I have been in and ATL must be the worst airport I have been in (bad lounge, bad wifi etc etc). And this is not just based on this experience. Last time, hopefully, that I have to travel Delta and I would have to avoid transiting via US. |
