The Election Commission has allotted the âbatsmanâ to a little known party--Andhra Pradesh Rashtra Samaikya Samithi (APRSS)--and allowed it to contest the both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state next year on this symbol. The decision of the Election Commission comes in the wake of reports that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will float a party in defence of Samaikyandhra and his supporters have described him as their star batsman. Telangana (17 seats): TRS - 10 seat; Congress - 3 seats; BJP - 2 seats; TDP - 1 seat, MIM - 1 seat. The results show TRS has improved its strength from 2 to 10 due to its role in the Telangana movement.
