some information that I think is right: hyd lo matrivanam ani vundedhi... in Ameerpet... andhulo there are were many IT copanies from 1990.. it used to be run by stpi.. there was a push around 1994 that the facility was not enough and expand cheyyali ani.. appatike Intergraph has it's own facility near the airport.. already was HYD was on map for foreign investors.. JA Chowdary garu ani was then STPI chairman.. 3rd gear lo eltunna bandi ki babu 4th gear esadu.. then ysr crise control lo set chesadu.. -- maithrivanam yes undedhi....1996 i attended interviews and tests for jobs too.....very small building when see now, but then the address of IT jobs or career..... Intergraph was the posh building at that time.....Sriven computers...DSQ are others with Satyam's previous company just coming up and also BAAN..... it was no more than a handfull of IT related offices and buildings..... after 1996 didnt go to HYD for years and then in 2000's it was a drqamatic rise.....when i went again..... I dont like CBN but his contribution cannot be ruled out......HYD was there before for 400 years......but never before developed this way..... my only and main complaint rightly as someone said...is that other cities espceially Vizag was neglected in this growth...... Vizag also had an STPI in the 1990s locatd in VEPZ. Except for a handfull of comapnies (one MNC - NetDecisions which shut shop in 2002) there was no one else and IT Services / ITES was not encouraged during that time in Vizag at all. There were quie a few BPOs also in Medical transcription etc which were not encouraged either. The push for IT Services in Vizag came only after 2005 and today there are IBM, Wipro, TechM, Infotech etc | ||

read some history about STPI.. it is a central government initiative and HYD was one of the few (including madras, blr, cochin from south india) to have the first technology parks built up in 1991. from 1991 to 1995 there were sriven solutions, datatree, InfoTech (now a giant in HYD), Intergraph, , indotronix, siemans, hughes, satyam etc have setup plants in HYD.. appatlo Chennai lo ramki, square D etc vundevi.. aa taruvaatha as if there was an explosion vachinatlu big companies started to look for space in India and pretty much every multinational started to have 4 or 5 centers in every of these IT districts.. | ||

A2j, You forget that Trs is born and raised during Cbn regime. For some reason, tts and Cbn remember thier region from 1995-2004 as very development oriented and all problems are kept at bay. Nijam vadilesina HYD ni probably NTR put it on the growth path. People forgot that and babu continued it and it was not ignored by ysr.. just to be fair due credit should be given to PVNR and all the reforms that resulted in the boom and all that trickled down to the state level and every state has benefitted from them including AP.
