Lyon bowled well, but no doubt England got too defnsive. Then again, it boils down to home and abroad. Aussies are absolutely comfortable in their own den and the got their proverbial tails up. Raman and FF: true, this test looks like a goner, but andy flower coaching and cook/trott/KP batting.... slight hope. England seem to have watched too many tapes from the 90s... I think it was England who dug themselves into this hole.. I watched the innings until Mr.Ganta came in to bat..and a little after that.. The opener guy was so overly defensive that Warner was literally snatching the ball from his bat..when Lyon came in..(reminds me of me doing it..in gully cricket..when I used to field at forward short leg for the same purpose)..I am not sure..if that is his game or not( I have not watched enough of him to comment)...but his stance and footwork shows that..he is never planning to hit a shot..this made Lyon suddenly appear like "Lion"  KP kurrod got kind of inspired by the other guy..and instead of playing his usual belligerent ishtyle..he started playing defensive strokes on balls that would have disappeared out of his presence ..given the KP we know..he went into an overly defensive mode ..as though they were about to avoid follow on a tough pitch and there were only 2 wickets left..not sure what the thought process behind his approach was..but it was very unlike KP...specially when the opposition only scored 280+( and that too their lower order batting)...the pitch was no demon..the ball was not swinging..Ryan Harris was slower than usual.. that concludes my analysis of the session I watched | ||

Lot of cricket still left, even in this test.... the series is going to be fun 1 way or other. Lots of action already! -- england has the batting to bat out usually for 4 sessions but on this pitch and Mitch in this form.....i doubt..... second innings fightback is what makes test more interesting...... i liked the aussies spirit when everyone are writing them off..... Super fightback from Aussies. Not out of the woods by any which way, but they have begun the journey. I hope KP makes a 100 in the 2nd.... I dont know if I jinxed him with my tribute! Also, dustbowls have their charm guys. EOD, if you play good cricket, cricket will be fun. Remember KP's 186 in Mumbai? Sehwag's 100 and Pujara's double in the match before that?
