In this match-up alone, it is not an asset. The critical thing here is "Left Hand serve" - a unique advantage left handers have when playing righties, in any sport, but very crucial in Tennis. May I suggest Shanghai semi-finals? Delpotro didn't seem to be too lazy then ;) Super classic = US Open 2009 semis 2,2,2 Delpotro took Rafa to the woodshed  This is another point, Rafa gets his clock cleaned so often, Federer, very rarely gets blasted off the court - very few matches 2008 FO final is the obvious one. any other matches Rafa fans got where Federer was absolutely hammered? Confirmed aa?  I predicted a Djokovic win in the final. This was pre-tournament. Then I read the reports about the court being slowed down. I am still thinking Djokovic will win, but I also thought he would win @ FO semis, Wimbledon Finals [the worst match Djokovic played this year] and ofcourse the US Open. It's going to be fun though, a Rafole final - It is a must win match for Novak, he has lost 2 big matches to Rafa @ FO, but smoked him at lesser matches like Monte Carlo and Beijing. Monte Carlo 1st set and Beijing whole match, Nole made Rafa look like a club player.

There is a clear pattern: Wimbledon/US Open/Year End = Fast surfaces = Fed king Australian/FO = slow surfaces = Rafa king. It was same with Agassi/Sampras. Only Agassi was not as focussed as Rafa and was busy partying when Sampras dominated and also Sampras sucked so bad on clay, he never played Agassi at FO but once. The main reason Rafa has a huge H2H over Fed/Djokovic is that they are both good enough on clay to play him 50% on a surface where the top players play only 25-30% of the time. +1 but it is nowhere near its best. 2007 Year End semis with rafa. 2-3 0-30 down, you know what fed did? 4 aces in a row. Infact he has done the quad aces atleast 7 or 8 times as i remember!
