During Coimbatore blast (1998) and thereafter election,Rajanikanth supported DMK and TMC and even appeared in Sun TV and criticised indirectly Jaya for blast .Even the media also predicted the landslide victory for dmk and tmc in 1998 election but Pheonix like lady Jaya had landslide victory in MP election. At the moment, rajni is sensible enough to maintain good relationship with both the parties. He had bitter experiences. Speculations are rife about Superstar Rajinikanth's political support to Bharatiya Janata party. Ever since BJP named Gujarat's Chief Minister Narendra Modi as its PM Candidate for the 2014 general elections, this rumors started floating. It is said that Rajinikanth is very close to Narendra Modi. Superstar Rajini made it clear that he has no interest of foraying into politics. But Mr.Modi has been seeking vocal as well as tacit support from film celebrities. Remember he met our Tollywood bigwigs at a star hotel in Hyderabad recently and sought their support when he kick started his political campaign here. So it is expected that he would meet Rajinikanth when he lands in Chennai on Sep 26th. Modi will be addressing a rally in Trichy in Tamilnadu on that day.
