Dr Puchalapalli Mitra, scion of late veteran communist leader, ideal public representative Puchalapalli Sundarayya, is a physician by profession and social activist. Mitra, who earlier worked with Lok Satta as a foundation member and later turned into an adviser and architect of Praja Rajyam Party, has been staying away from active politics since he parted ways with Chiru. Unlike his colleague Parakala Prabhakar, Mitra has quit the party silently without pointing fingers at anyone and didn't make any allegations against Chiru considering his equation with Mega family. Mitra is often referred as close associate of Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind. Mitra also shares close bond with actor Pawan Kalyan. Whatever, Dr Mitra's emotional speech at Save Andhra Pradesh meet on Saturday in Hyderabad has raised many eye balls in social and political circles. He is often known as soft- spoken and reticent person. But when he chooses to speak, he speaks his mind. It's once again proved with his speech. Mitra, who lost his cool and temper, vented out his anger and lashed out at MLAs, MPs, Ministers and Union Ministers who haven't put in their papers. Mitra said, "To all many ministers who haven't quit yet, I urge them to do so at the behest of people of their region. It's time for you to step out from your posts. A few are hiding in Delhi (expecting this on Chiru) and fearing to returns to their home turfs." Mitra not even spared chinnamma Daggubati Purandheswari and vehemently demanded all the politicians to prove in their loyalty to people who have voted for them. He said he is completely against the bifurcation of state and urged everyone to "eliminate words such as Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema". "There is only one Andhra Pradesh and one Hyderabad. Please stop using the terms like Telangana and Andhra regions," requested the people on parting note. His speech says that he has launched a scathing attack on Chiru along with other politicians. But what's surprising everyone is why did Mitra targeting Chiranjeevi all of sudden now? Is this a new beginning of Mitra's political career? | ||
