have to disagree there. I bought several apple products in the last 10 years and when it comes to built quality I have absolutely no issues. no flexibility and they restrict the system within their ecosystem - Yes, it is a pain in the butt sometimes. Pricey - Yes, no argument there. but design and built quality - I rarely hear issues. even if there is an issue, the service is excellent in NA. I don't know much about that in India. I am buying another Macbook Pro (for my son) next week. | ||

They are better designed, not necessarily better manufactured. I used an MBP at work for 3 months last year, the charger stopped working within a month, my earlier HP charger never created issues for 4 years... | ||

My ipad2, dead in 18 months, kalla ki parani araka mundhe sachchindhi.. If Steve Jobs was not dead, he would die now on seeing the sole Apple service centre in Gurgaon. It is located in virtually a slum, you need rapelling equipment, fire fighting gear, hiking shoes etc. And to go there in rain, you need to get a boat and top up your medical insurance too. And the topping is that if your Ipad is out of warranty, you can use it as a paper weight. Atleast a Windows even if it crashes, can be repaired easily by some second tier technician. Here they have a "genius" bar to basically a) replace if it is under warranty and b) if it not under warranty, show their finger to you. I had deliberately stayed away from Apple products till this was gifted. I can't imagine folks are spending 40-50 K on these products which can't be repaired after an year...i would rather buy a good watch... |
