Nagam Comes To Naidu's Defense! Former minister and ex-TDP MLA from Nagarkurnool Nagam Janardhan Reddy sprang a surprise on Monday by coming to the defense of his former boss, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the High Court ordering a Central Bureau of Investigation inquiry against the latter. 'The petition was part of a political conspiracy hatched by YSR Congress party leader Y S Vijayalakshmi to tarnish the image of Chandrababu Naidu. Since it is a political petition, it would not stand in the court of law,' Nagam felt. He pointed out that Naidu had already declared his assets and that of his family members. 'The problem will come only if he has more assets than he had declared. But that issue does not arise now,' Nagam said. One wondered whether Nagam is trying to get back to the TDP because of his bleak political future. Otherwise, he must be fearing that his name might also come up in the course of investigation, may be as part of decision making during the Naidu regime. In any case, Nagam has sent a positive signal to Naidu!
