The difference JP makes in policy making is clearly evident if you compare RTI to the current Lokpal bill. Some of the proposals that the civil society members of the committee are asking for are nothing but utter stupidity. Some of the things they are stubborn on are marred more by ego, than their urge to get things done. I am not making these statements out of the blue, but after careful consideration. The biggest disadvantage of this is that once one of the discussing parties becomes unreasonable, the other party totally loses respect in the discussion. This issue will not come with JP, and hence the success. | ||
