Kamal, alaanti sannakaaru padhakaalu chesey untaadu CBN......out of which, computerization to some extent is almost inevitable......and the software wagon pulled forward the eventual mushrooming of engg/professional courses/colleges.. No denying that CBN was CM for 9 years.....and there were lot of changes that happened in the country/state during that time.....due to liberal economic policies, globalization and human resource intensive software industry on the rise........ Regarding BJP, if the local leaders are really that good, I think people will accept them.... lets just hope all the poor indians will be able to afford a nice meal and better living conditions.....whoever takes the mantle..... | ||

Chattisgarh lo Dr. Raman Singh is doing a gr8 job, except for containing Naxalism ! Alage Uttarakhand under CM Nishank is doing awesome .. especially with initiatives like "Sparsh Ganga" to clean up Ganga, tourism and all economy fundamentals with a surplus budget !!! alage take Yeddy - last week, he attracted some 1,00,000 crore worth investments into the state .. he is starting to make his mark in agriculture, he is also concentrating on primary education - large number of primary and secondary schools being set up all across rural KA .. Shivraj Singh Chauhan - he is also doing a better job when compared to lousy CMs like Digvijay Singh .. though I do agree, that there are allegations of corruption in MP from some of BJP ministers .. Nitish/Sushil Kumar Modi duo in Bihar brought the turn around to the state .. Bihar is growing for the first time in many many decades ! Himachal Pradesh - doing good on power reforms and tourism .. not sure abt other sectors .. These are not "ideal" govts .. but are surely "better" govts than from the past .. just because I have a keen interest in picking up stuff of BJP, I usually keep an eye on such things, other wise, its no surprise that you asked such a question ! I am particularly not a fan of CBN. But here are my takes as a Hyderabadi who lived during that period. 1) Power sector reforms - Hyd had frequent power cuts in 1996 - 98. By 2004, they were far and few. 2) IT - Much said ! 3) Computerization of administration - Municipal office lo bill kattadaaniki vellinappudu, current bill kattadaniki vellinappudu, govt offices lo jarige arachakaalu chooste asahyam vesedi .. alantidi .. nimmadi ga computerization start ayyaka, kaastha lanchaalu taggi .. chachinattu bills ivvalsina paristhithi start ayyindi .. 4) Digitization of land records - awesome project .. encumbrance certificates nunchi anni chaala fast ga aipovadam start ayyindi .. like in 1 hour to 1 day .. antaku mundu .. application submit chesi .. malli vaaram taravata velli additional info, lancham ichi .. inko vaaraniki paper techukune paristhithi undedi .. atleast in Ranga Reddy Dist !!! 5) Raitu Bazars - ippudu malli middlemen vachesaru antunnaru .. start chesina kotta lo .. farmers would directly come to these places and sell .. that would give fresh produce to the consumer, some tax revenue to the govt and better income for farmers .. 6) e-seva - kool initiative to provide all services of govt in one place .. 7) Roads - Hyd roads aithe bagundevi .. even outside Hyd .. CBN's vision was lopsided, he neglected the role of state as a catalyst of economic activity in rural india...YSR had good ideas in principle but corruption ate up whatever little he achieved...some people think corruption is not bad, if you do a bit of analysis any sane person can find that it eats up the core...it increases project costs, increases debts, interest payments, black money, black marketing and throws economy out of gear despite high growth rates...that's what is happening in AP India as well | ||

Indian GDP is an annualised average and would have included GDP's from states from NE, bihar etc....which were dismal.....so AP's 15% doesnt reflect anything....the standardisation is based per capita income catogerised by time and variable like policy effects if u are to see the effects of a policy | ||
