There is no govt backed insurance plan in the bill..Beginning 2014 ,public will have option to choose plans at the same rate which employers offer to employees, through state exchanges. The idea is more number of people covered, the costs will be averaged out evenly.. currently the burden of uninsured and underinsured are paid by insured and govt.. so bringing more people in will average out the costs. | ||

the point many miss is say for example an uninsured individual goes to a hospital (happens quite commonly)...the hospitals are supposed to treat them irrespective of insurance...which good. but the bill will be paid by the govt...which is a burden on you and me.....the costs can easily run into several hundred thousand dollars just in few days/ months.....the same is with people who have insurance too...there are caps and the insurance will cover only upto a limt and can drop the individual at their own discretion....again..that is not fair and is a burden on the govt....that is going to stop.....seppukuntu povacchu......nenu yrly once wellness visit ki velathanu..ma inurance vaadu antha pay chesthadu ani happy ayipovadam is naive....god forbidden something seriouly happens and requires prolonged care that is when one sees the true colors of insurance companies.....there are several servays which show almost eveyone who has such condition is not happy with the insurance companies and this bill will check mate such practices.
