Santner is not traditional drift away spinner, he used his height to his advantage , he is more angle in and getting it to straighten and beat them in the pace...Chahel heavily relies on drifting and flight at times... Short spinners may have lot of variations in their bowling but they fail to control runs compared to tall spinners One more thing, Short spinners create loops while bowling which will give the batsman an elevation to hit the ball through the line without much risk...tall spinners have higher release points and can change the length & pace quickly during the time of release and can generate bounce at the same time. PS: Being a spinner, you should get the ball above the eyes of batsman and then down in right time to beat them off the air and pitch. chahal 63 without wicket. santner 34/2 can't understand this. india can't play swing why not spin?? this is the worrying point for india. forget WC for some time india is not able to score of spin and opponents are scoring of our spinners easily. |
