Victim or not, he had talent. With consistency, he would have made it to the team. Selectors were consistent for most part. But no. 4, they played too many people there. Replaced opener with Pant (middle order bat) And when Shankar was injured, they replaced him with an opener in Mayank. I would feel hard done too if I were him. Praying for something implies that, despite God's omniscience, he doesn't already know what you want. | ||

I think that's harsh. Team selection lo some people gain and some people lose all the time. And sometimes they can be bad decisions too, like Mongia of 2003 WC. Even look at Rahane's ODI scores in last 2 years. 17 innings lo he scored 8 fifties and 1 century and he was dropped for Rayudu after his last series. And looking at his attitude, imagine how he'll work as a team player when each player will have to play a specific role. If Hardik is scoring faster than him, do you think he'll give strike to him in the last overs as that is better for the team? And if another player gets more balls and gets a 50 or 100 and if Rayudu stays at 30 or 40 not out, won't he play victim for not getting to a personal landmark? | ||

Mayank performed well in his limited chances where as Rayudu didnt in his many opps only bad thing selectors did is to say Rayudu and Pant were considered, edo just kantitudupu gaa chepparu appudu which they should have not in hindsight | ||
