This is a huge thing....our Indians average life expectancy is already low....the amount of pollution and human health is at risk....

That’s my stand....because it has more negative impact on environment, health and future of millions of people.....

Let’s say like this if 15k is required for each acre of farm for water per year is true....this is a collective of both maintenance and electricity.....

Of that 15k majority goes for electricity.....

All people are seeing is just that electric charges....

..but there is more to it

Telangana needs to generate huge amounts of electricity for this maintenance......where does this electricity come from ??

Either fossil or renewable....I don’t see telangana is investing much on renewables in lieu of its coal reserves.....

If 70-80 percent of the energy is driven from fossil fuels it has huge impact on people of andhra, Maharashtra etc....

These plants will operate 24 x 7...which means continuous emission of sulphate aerosols and micro pollutants etc into air....

The plume from these plants will be deposited 10s to 100s of kilometers away from the point of origin depending on the origin....

The result would be an increase in incidence of respiratory, cardiovascular and skin problems...life expectancy would be effected.....

I don’t think this indirect cost of the project is taken into account.....

Andhra , Maharashtra, tribals must file a class action lawsuit on central government and telangana and ask for the source of energy for the project..... and if it says coal, the preventive measures for the emission plumes, guidelines for the zero emissions must be implemented.....so that no particulates reach andhra and effect the health of people there....

Till there things are implemented...one must not allow the new power plants to run into action for lift irrigation.
Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time.
