Contributory pension scheme - CPS - https://pensionersportal.gov.in/salient%20features-f.asp Employees were contributing for their own pension 10% of basic+DA and Employer would make equal contribution , very much like Provident Fund. Introduction of CPS - this helped reduce the burden for govt since the govt need not budget for future pension payments , but is paid out from annuity taken out of corpus that gets built at retirement. Of course emps don't like it since (1) It reduces their take home salary (2) The pension amount is not fixed since it is based on the corpus (which is built based on contribution and Bond and Security markets) (3) There won't be any DA etc that will be added to the corpus which is done for the Govt. Pension schemes. | ||

both employer and employee contribute for his pension like 10% or so will be deducted from my basic towards pension and the same equal amount will be given by govt. but now I think entire pension amount will be taken care by Govt and I will get my full basic | ||
