I had a similar expense for just bringing one coin thru my carry bag. They gave two options either I can pay improt tax on the coin or reexport without paying tax.Re export means they will keep the coin and put it in a locker by giving proof of paper work. On our return journey by showing that paper work, will return your coin after paying the locker charges for holding the coin. | ||

Next time when I travel again back to india need to carry that form to confirm that I carried all my gold back to US. Doubts unnaaye officer cheppina dhantlo need to confirm more on this. |
