show runners are screwing up the narrative.. they are not able to manage pace. one episode appears slow.. and all of a sudden of alot of things happen.. and then no one knows why and how things happen. it seems they had the budget for 12 episodes in the last season.. but they decided to wind it up ... they should have slowed the pace.. when dealing with characters.. it doesnt matter if war sequences are shorter... after every major event like.. NK's death.. and cersei's death.. we are left pondering what happened.. and why it happened.. instead of getting emotionally be part of the event.. surprise is taking over... | ||

may be because i read the books.. my perspective is skewed.. i contend that. but she is hardly a hero material ani naa idhi... she is delusional. one hand she talks about breaking the WHEEL, breaking the chains.. on the other hand she thinks she has claim on the throne because she is a dragon. but to her credit, she does take alot of counsel and listens to others... she is shown as a messaiah from one perspective... that is the perspective of hers, and slaves. she kills the slave masters herself.. but one slave when rebels and kills another master... she kills that slave. there are many instances, when she acts against unusally. if you remember the yunkai attack.. the yunkai mater comes to her with gold, and says the city has to nothing to do with her.. accept the gold and go her way... what does she do? she takes the gold she gives them three days to consider HER offer.. but attacks the same night, and brings the city down. she does not even bother to say and rule the city she has taken.. but leaves to Mereen. In the books astapor and yunkai turn to dead cities.. with no economy and starving people.. who walk to Mereen asking for help... but she has no clue what to do... | ||

She did a lot of collateral damage before, as you mentioned. But this time she willfully kills people... block by block... that's definitely out of her character...and there is no solid reason behind it. How could she think the whole city is against her btw? she is smarter than that. Viserys is as much a Targaryen as she is, but Fire does not affect Dany(and this is only in the show). Jon snow also gets burnt, while saving Lord Commander Mormont from the wight. There are other targaryens who died by fire.
Again in Mereen... she kills everyone she can get hold of, who is AGAINST her. thats the key. we have not seen slaves going against her.. so she had no reason to kill her. But at Kings Landing.. she feels, the city itself is against her.. the city is using her WEAKNESS and cutting her down. At Mereen, the slaves seem to be grateful to her, and are actively supporting her. At Kings landing, the normal people are not supporting her, instead chosing to stay inside the walls, essentially helping Cersei. I know, we can never convincingly say that is a perspective of a normal person.. but she is not in a normal state.

None of reasons you mentioned is good enough to kill innocents and children. The writers really screwed up with her character. A person who strove for liberation of slaves, free will etc wont change overnight because one of her dragons and close friends are killed. She has seen much worse in her life. That has always been there.. its just that she understood that... and she TRIED HARD to listen to others... but at this point.. EVERYONE she trusted betrayed her. 1) She trusts Viserys .. she is her only strength.. what does he do? he sells her to Dothraki 2)She realizes that she can lead a decent life with Khal.. and then she trusts Mirri Mazz Durr.. she kills her husband and son... For that She burns Mirri Mazz Durr along with her husband... fortunately for her, that SACRIFICE brings Dragons 3) She goes to Qarth - trusts her handmaid .. she helps steel her dragons 4) At Qarth - she openly warns the trader.. if he doesnt give her ships.. she WILL comeback to Qarth and BURN It down to the ground, for not helping in her time of need 5) At Mereen - she kills all the slave masters .. ofcourse.. this can be seen as a just punishment... but to her death is the only punishment. 6) When she is taken to Dosh Khaleen, as she is Khaleesi, without Khal.. instead of follow the tradition, she burns Dosh Khaleen, including all the Khals who got her there... Why is everyone unhappy about the episode? It was great episode. The anger of Dany is justified. She lost her Dragon and her best friend was beheaded in front of her. And she was always notorious for harsh punishments .... started off with her brother....
