Screen - better go with the largest you can fit on your wall. I bought 135" per my wall width. After putting it up, I feel I could have gone for 143 or 150.

My setup: LCR speakers -> Chane A2.4
Surrounds Chane A1.4.
Atmos 4 Yamaha in ceiling
Subwoofer -> Hsu VTF3-MK5 this is a beast
Projector-> BENQ HT2550 4k projector
Receiver -> Denon X4400

Very happy with the setup.

The max I could go for a screen is 160"...will try to go for an HSU sub woofer
Go PACK Go!!!

Unless you are audiophile and an avid watcher, not worth it in my opinion. Rockwood tho paatu you have to do double layer drywall with greenglue.
Also basement nunchi stairs ki kooda proper blocking undaali. It's not so simple to soundproof. Not worth it. Maybe acoustic panels konukkovadam better

makes sense!

I will go with rockwool for ceiling and internal walls...and think about acoustic panels if needed

Projector

Still contemplating between Epson 2150 ($800) vs Epson 4000 ($1500)

None of them are 4k...so should I be considering alternatives?
I have seen a few 2150s at some of my friend's places and they looked decent...looks like it is the most popular model in my group

As per Epson's website, if I use a 4000 for a 160-inch screen, the distance from the screen edge should be close to 3ft it seems.....my room height itself is 7'6"....wouldn't that be an issue?

Screen size 160 "
Screen width 11' 7.5" [Ft/in]
Screen height 6' 6.4" [Ft/in]
Throw distance (L) 15' 9.8" - 33' 1.9" [Ft/in]
Distance from screen edge (H) 2' 11.4" [Ft/in]

For 2150, the numbers are....
Screen size 160 "
Screen width 11' 7.5" [Ft/in]
Screen height 6' 6.4" [Ft/in]
Throw distance (L) 15' 6.1" - 25' 2" [Ft/in]
Distance from screen edge (H) 1.8" [Ft/in]

Speaker:

epson 4000 has more lumens..n a big fat one..

if u r not limited by finance..go with 4000

better color n contrast

Will there be a stark difference between both of them for twice the cost?

Speaker:

rest..dont spend good money over bad screens..

just use silver screen paint over that wall...

That was my initial idea but after reading online, I thought it is a bad idea....no matter how smooth we try to make the wall, it still has plenty of unevenness with the surface and paint which reflects on the big screen...is what everybody is saying

Vr0000m:

Floorstanding Loudspeakers

personally dont like front standing or anything standing..as they add to clutter on floor..

go for on or in ceiling speakers..

1 subwoofer is good..unless u wanna rattle things upstairs..
Inform, Amuse, Confuse, Evoke..

When I started to look for speakers...I got too confused and started to look for bundles & ones that are suggested in this DB

One of the bundles that I liked for $3750
(1) Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A3080 9.2-Ch Network AV Receiver
(1) Pair of Klipsch RP-280F Floorstanding Loudspeakers
(1) Klipsch RP-450C Center Channel Speaker
(1) Klipsch R-115SW 15-Inch Powered Subwoofer
(2) Pairs of Klipsch RP-500SA Dolby Atmos Speakers

Should I be adding one more subwoofer?
Should I be replacing the RP-500SA Dolby Atmos pairs with some ceiling speakers like CDT-5800-C II....and add 4 RP-502S surround speakers on the front and back?

An alternative choice for $2800 (without the receiver) is...
2 - BP9020 High Power Bipolar Tower Speaker with Integrated 8" Subwoofer
1 - CS9040 High-Performance Center Channel Speaker
2 - SR9040 High-Performance Bipolar Surround Speaker
2 - A90 High-Performance Height Speaker Module for Dolby Atmos/DTS:X

Still contemplating between Epson 2150 ($800) vs Epson 4000 ($1500)

Screen

Elite Screens ER150WH2 SableFrame 2 73.6 x 130.7" Fixed Frame Projection Screen
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1103166-REG/elite_scr eens_sableframe_er150wh2_projection_screen.html
$637

Any other screens that I might want to look at?

Is a fixed screen better than a manual / electric pull down one?

I first thought I can get the screen wall painted with the special paint but after reading online, I did not find it worthy...let me know if I am wrong

So please help me with what I have selected so far...and let me know if I have missed anything
