Top 5 publications in AP are around 34 Mn while Top 5 publications in TN are 55 Mn. Ananda Vikatan (top magazine in TN) is 3 times the size of Swati. Steep decline in reading habits is distressing. | ||

Overall AP figures are quite disappointing - for a state of our size, we need to have more in the top 20. Tamil Nadu with a smaller population has 3 in the top 20 and with much larger readership too. Kerala (they have always been high on news readership) has two in the top 11. Another disappointing thing is that both the Telugu newspapers are declining in readership | ||
