Before December it looked like advantage YCP mainly because of 2000Rs pension. TDP actively nullified it with 2000Rs pension, pasupu-kumkuma, anna daatha sukhi bhava, etc. Now the promise of 3000rs pension.

Dr Venugopala Rao of the Centre for Psephology Studies (CPS) has been a practising psephologist since 2006. He started doing regular socio-economic surveys for former Andhra Pradesh chief minister, the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2006. Since mid-2016, CPS has been regularly conducting surveys for K Chandrasekhar Rao once every four months, to give a feedback to the Telangana chief minister on matters both political and related to governance.
Dr Rao’s organisation has just finished conducting two independent surveys of Andhra Pradesh, the first one between 17-21 February with a sample size of 4,37,642 respondents and the second between 27-31 March with a sample size of 3,04,323 respondents.
Dr Venugopala Rao spoke to T S Sudhir of UmaSudhir.com to give his numbers and analyse the why and how of his findings. In the first part of the interview, we discuss Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana survey will be discussed in Part 2 of the interview tomorrow. |

I searched, didn't find a 2014 election estimate. Basically, pure coincidence that CPS prediction was right in 2018. CPS must have been wrong in 2014 and removed the survey prediction.

I don't understand the optimism of ycp supporters. I am a ycp sympathizer myself from guntur and i don't see any inclination towards jagan in guntur. guntur is historically a swing district that reflected the mood of the state. unlike tdp's propaganda, jagan's alleged corruption or faith is a non-issue atleast in guntur. but gunturites are happy with amaravati announcement and are more or less inclined to give another opportunity to cbn for its completion. will guntur go against history or trend this polls? my gut says ycp think tank is living in a bubble just like 2014. |

Simple logical question. If this guy was doing surveys for KCR since 2006 every 4 months as he claimed, then CPS has done surveys in 2014 also. After the 2014 CPS survey, KCR held a press meet and said 100% Jagan beating drums. So, why did CPS fail in the 2014 survey? No one every heard of this moron before 2018 assembly elections.
