1) First of all no one can delete. They can only submit a request to delete and then EC will process it. 2) As this cannot be automated, they will need several 1000's of volunteers/agents, if not more to process several lakhs of voters. It will easily come out as atleast some will whistle-blow. 3) Its not worth the risk and foolish to think this can get an edge in voting (Lokesh entha edava ayina). // good questions. This process did not take place in one day. It is happening for atleast two years. As there were no elections in last 5 years, people did not care about the voters list and checking their names. this is continuous process happened for few years, deleting few votes everyday.
