biopics generally should be taken couple of generations later. There needs to be a bit of unknown and a bit of curiosity. The timing is very wrong. Can't compare with savithri. She stopped being relevant by late 60's. Her life is not as popular as NTR's . So her story has ingredients to cause curiosity Most of us have seen or lived NTR. Cinemalo CBN chusthunte when he is very big active in real life, it is hard to square it . Inka there was a bit of curiosity in first about his early life which was a bit open to curiosity. His biopic should happen after US, in my opinion. RGV's story by picking the portion of controversy , might create that curiosity. That is not biopic but narration of an incident. I saw the movie today at AMB. Its better than Kadhanayakudu. The biggest complaint with part 1 was a 58 year old Bala playing a young NTR. In part 2, there is no such complaint as Bala suited his father to the T. The movie was just over 2 hours so ekkada antha lag anipinchaledu except for some scenes in second half. I don't find anything negative to talk about except for some historical inaccuracies - Nadella being the brainchild behind age reduction, NTR himself inviting CBN to TDP (and) CBN single handedly rescuing TDP from Nadella's vennupotu. Don't know why the openings are so dismal though. IMO, this movie (even part 1) shouldn't have performed so badly... |
