There is a big story.. in good old days..any country can issue/print currency to the extent of Gold reserves it holds .. The US dollar bill or rather any country's was like a promissory note which offered to pay the worth of gold when presented to central bank..(Some dictator miffed of with US,one day said,he want to exchange Gold with the billions USD reserved his country was holding..but Fed reserve said..we don't have Gold reserves) US later changed the rules and said we will print currency based on Goodwill we hold and not based on Gold reserves ..and all countries followed But during the petro boom in mid 20th century..the poor Gulf countries were forced by US to use USD as base currency (as it was the biggest consumer of oil) for trading crude oil Since then crude oil is traded only with USD..and so the demand for holding USD reserves has become more important for oil importing countries and there by usage of USD in international transactions If USD is replaced with other currency for crude oil trade,USD value will come down..and so the US dominance/economy The reason why US wants to hold grip and dominance on the middle east countries If major oil importing/producing countries like Russia,China,India,Japan,Turkey,Iran etc can come together and replace USD for crude oil transactions | ||

5g is a bunch of specifications/bench marks defined by a consortium. different companies can achieve those bench marks in different ways, for example att's implementation of 5g is different from Verizons and both of them started advertising that theirs is the best/original. there are other big companies like Ericsson, Qualcomm, Intel, Nokia and Samsung. in Network transformation segment that are working on 5g . | ||

my opinion as well. However, it is chicken or egg theory. Dollar as reserve currency keeps US dominant but the reason dollar is reserve currency is because of US dominance (or stability) Also the IP theft of China needs to be looked at more in detail. There is IP infringements ..but there is also Chinese intelligent business model that enabled them to force IP sharing in exchange for their consumer power | ||
