There is a big push for short term deal to get govt open. If they can get 67 votes that will have veto proof. But that will put Trump in bad light .. so republicans may not do it but give some hints to whites house I think White House is going to agree to some face saving deal soon. this is not about who is winning or who is losing...agreed.. but it's about what is right and what is wrong...you can't just give away fundamentally and morally right choice which affects millions in future just for short term suffering...this is why we have senate or congress or parliament or any democratically elected institution....not to make decisions based on emotions...but based on a pragmatic approach..laws which stand the test of time... that is expected.. they had to do this before negotiations.. now that it is done... there is some discussions going on right now.. they may be able to get something soon.. Congress is trying . McConnell and Schumer are meeting right now Position of White House is not clear. They may soften a bit ( or may be not).
