A few mistakes NTR did in his personal life: 1. Giving away his hard-earned assets when he is alive. 2. Ignoring and being indifferent to his children (as per NHK about 20 years back, as per his statement NTR never treated his kids with affection) 3. Trapping LP knowing she is married; she neither has political charm like Jayalalitha nor has an erudite personality. Key points for NTR’s failure as a politician (SSK’s Gandipeta-Rahasyam says it all): 1. The arrogance that even his slippers would win the election going by his maniac fans. 2. None of his policies are practical thus made enemies from all communities including his own. 3. Unnecessary show-up and getups like dressing in saffron in the ’80s. Not only acting in movies but also making IAS officers come to the studios to complete important government jobs. 4. Extreme nepotism - in the first term with CBN but in the later term trying to distance himself from CBN and other party men who funded the party. This is the source of the coop and the Viceroy incident. NTR banned liquor even though his party got funds from liquor shop owners and dealers.
