naa opinion on gopro device. While it's fun using it for first half a dozen times, it's a big pain in the butt with the battery especially when you are controlling with an app on iPhone. They need to address the battery issue very quickly. NA varaku market saturation ki daggarlo vundemo ani naako doubt. |

I added some more GPRO because of it's attractive valuation and future potential. Along with the sales of cameras and accessories, founder and CEO Nick Woodman is creating an ecosystem to make it extremely sticky. They are generating lot of content and if all goes well monetizing the same will generate more profits (GPRO channel will be available on ROKU in the next few months and youtube channel is generating lot of buzz).
Now coming to the article, all they are saying is it might go down in the short term due to lockup expiry (which might happen). In the long run earnings pressure will ensure GPRO will get it's due recognition.
Now, let's talk about AMBA. On the surface it looks cheaper. However, if you scratch the surface and see projected growth GPRO will outperform AMBA. As per mgmt guidance, I think GPRO will give better returns then AMBA in the long run.
Bottom line, it's a risky bet and I will abandon the ship as soon as I sense a slowdown in growth or content monetization is not viable.
