Oil is a natural conditioner. Very good within limits. Indians overdo sometimes. But it's much better than using chemical conditioners with unknown ingredients. | ||

Firstly oils like coconut do not evaporate that easily below their smoke points. Secondly - if at all the sun heat is causing the oil to evaporate - if anything the oil will take more heat from your skin to evaporate and cool your skin( kind of like perspiration works)...
