Oka sari GMR Infra choodandi last 4 years nunchi..most of the players in the power and other infra space had taken on huge debt in 2007-2008 to finance their empires. Most of them are not bearing fruit. Same is the case with GVK too. One of the biggest problems is that they had taken on loans to finance big power plants but at the back end did not tie up fuel arrangements (gas, naphtha, coal etc). KG 6 of Reliance has been a dampener with output far lower than estimated and they are also not giving any preferential allotment to firms near the oil basin like the the AP firms. So all of them are saddled with bucket loads of high cost debt and no light too at the end of the tunnel as the fuel issue is not going to be resolved in the near term. GMR also had to exit the Maldives airport. Daniki thodu, Kingfisher gadi unpaid dues etc etc.. | ||
