karnataka has a unique voting pattern....they differentiate between LokSabha and Assembly elections.... in 1984, Cong got 100% of the LS seats and RamaKrishna Hedge's party swept the Assembly elections whcih were held within a few months..... So next year - BJP might still get a good number of seats in Karnataka as the issues would be different | ||

Point adhi kaadhu...they got a good number of Lok Sabha seats last time. They won 19/28 seats and they got 113 seats all over India. They will have to compensate potential loss of Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka while trying to get closer to 200 seats all over India. | ||

BJP was never strong in karnataka. Other than Mangalore and Udipi dists -thier presence was minimal... Yedyurappa built the party from scratch with help from Reddy lobby - and when he left - obviously the collapse happened. Even in 2008 elections - Cong got more Vote share and lesser seats than BJP in karnataka.... | ||
