city and county construction codes are usually bare minimum. third party inspection is better to avoid conflict of interest and have peace of mind.

There are tons of stories out there where new homes have had issues

Very good point, real pain will be how to find a good home inspector ..

I had one inspector , who checked every plug to have the power or not ? They find some stuff which pass the code , but can be fixed ..

When you buy 300k house , $600 is peanuts .. do it just for peace of mind

diwa,

take inspection for the stuff that u can't see with naked eye after the building is put up.

foundation/basement inspection
pre drywall inspection..these 2 should be ~300

migatavi antha visual ga neeku kanipistai so avi waste..before 1 yr warranty expires say in 10th month go for the 3rd type of inspection. they check the yard incline etc etc and builder will cover it under warranty..this is what i did..

building codes avi check chestaru sare.we are not checking for code violations here but quality of construction. builders outsource to contractors and it all depends on the worker who is puttin them together.finally peace of mind

Waste of money for "new" home inspection, Normally new homes comes with 1 year warranty on everything ,and also it will take 1st year for a new home to "settle".

So go for home inspection just before 1 year warranty expires. (I am assuming you already decided to buy the new home).

Memu house konna 1 yr tharuvatha, basement finsih chesaamu. Appudu kuda contractor city permit teesukunnadu. Work ayipoyina tharuvatha City officials inspect chesaaru.

If it is a new home, purchasing from builder inspection avasaram ledu. Builders codes follow ayi vuntaru. Also home ki warranty vuntundi.

If it is a old home (3+ years), inspection chepisthe better. evina issues vunte home owner repair cheyisthadu. OR price negotiate cheyavachu.
