numbers and basic maths varku o.k......infact numbers are part of language....no language exists without numbers.........my point is first they should have clarity on basics and their physical manifestation then abstaraction will follow automatically if they are interested in the subject....desham lo basics ardham kavatame kastam chala mandhiki.....in my view at the level of secondary emphasis should be more on language and basic maths with some introduction to geometrical shapes and related calculations....in indian context teaching in alien language complicates the situation even more. I feel when chidren become matured enough to express themselves then higher maths and abstraction will make better sense | ||
