Cummins and Westport both anti-correlate with oil and correlate with housing/construction. There is a lot of bad news on housing and construction today, which is why all constr related dropped. $WPRT - Westport Innovations... Cummins plans to introduce spark-ignited natural gas engines through Cummins Westport, whch is a joint venture between Cummins and Westport Innovations (NasdaqGS:WPRT - News). The joint venture will begin producing the engine, ISX12G, in 2013. govt. natural gas engines ki subsidy isthe kanaka.... ee company is very good.... but one concern here is...... Cummins intends to develop a new 15-liter engine, ISX15G that is based on the existing ISX15 platform. It will be capable of using compressed natural gas, liquified natural gas or bio-methane fuel. The company will begin producing the engines in early 2015...... cummins ki wesport ki they are not in good terms..... according to our crapy crammer.... ---------------------- Westport Innovations (Nasdaq: WPRT) is trading lower on higher volume today. No word on what the news, though shares moved strong below the $33 support level. Wednesday night, Jim Cramer said Cummins (NYSE: CMI) and Westport have become "frenemies," which we assume means engine collaborations are continuing, but neither wants to "really" be in the relationship. Volume is already about 2.5 million today.
