IMO on 2nd and 3rd days, dhoni could have tried to slow the run scoring by bowling negative lines and not allowing batsmen to score freely and frustrate them. This could have done two things : 1. frustrated batsmen would have made mistakes 2. declaration would hv been delayed to 3rd day I was surprised at Dhoni for not using this ploy which successfully worked for him in NZ | ||

Dhoni will survive in test cricket till some keeper in domestic circuit has a great season or two. Right now, there is no one. Parthiv is a proven failure and Karthick is worst than Dhoni. However, I think it's time we change our test captain. We need a fresh body who can think out of the box and has hunger for success. None of team management touring in Australia has balls to touch any senior. Coach is dummy, manager Yadav is maska batch. They will drop Kohli for next 2 tests and will debut Rohit.
