may be u were watching with a pre concieved notion to screw the movie ....there are many scenes like that in movie that i carried over with me back home...and as long as a movie does that to me iam happy...no issues....and screenplay does get grippy in second half...n the climax warfare is awesome.... The scene in which sita responds to raavan saying she will stay there if he wont harm vikram was superrrrrbbbbb...aish was outstanding in that scene.... movie loopholes septha inu...poor imagination in suprapanka character n forced antics on govinds to replicate hanuman n usage of penta 4 graphics ..... other than that its an awesome movie.... | ||

Never in manis past had he narrated a scene or etched a character in a manner which is like peelin a banana n feeding to audience....u want mani to show beera as a kid mogli left in forests as a child taken care by a tiger n he becomes like tarzan??? Everything about beera is told from the perspective of the tribals that vikram n govinda talk to while pursuing beera....beera is a poet n intellect n chameleon a good hearted rogue...so many faces of him we r told...may be ur texting namitha during that scene...wat difference does it make where beera lives??? and yes he is changing his positions to avoid the army or pulis....he kidnaps aish to kill ....no doubts about that...but he is attracted to her courage n her beauty....n he says "how can i kill someone who is not afraid of death"...and in ramayan raavan dies...and in dracula dracula dies..thats the ending....no ifs no buts....so the climax.... he attacks the camp in the climax as if he was pixssed that the pulis killed his henchman... | ||

For example....lets revisit the kidnapping of sita.... A serene lake with a top view of a boat drifitng majestically in still water carring n a gorgeous newly married bride losing herself in the serenity of nature...the sun is setting in the backdrop... And from no where a crow comes in n lands on the boat creatin a kind of panic in the otherwise perfect moment of that women is having... A slight concern flashes on theat gorgous face....a concern that kaki is bad omen.... The crow then lifts and takes off towards the setting sun and while doing so it gives us a glimpse of a bigger boat dat appears on route to collide head on with this smaller one.... And the image of raavan standing like a king of that river on the boat with a cold face and the women scared looking at that image.... and now the master stroke from the genius..... The close up of that face....glowing under the reflection of setting sun but panicking for sure.... and then the shadow of this big boat consumes her face.. saying... Baby U got Doomed.... Thats how u execute larger than life kidnapping scenes.... and the movie has so many visuals like these that convey 10000 words with out a dialogue.... And my question is wat the fck is wrong with u that ur whining non stop about this movie as if u have seen an rgvs aag??? there are couple of scenes i dont understand and would like to read n figure out about them....but the movie is excellent n doesnt deserve this much backlash.... | ||

exactly smartass there is a reason why Mani chose forest. i.e...inside the forest he is untouchable. But which scene establishes this? he lives in the village or in the forest? or is he moving to different places as part of the plan to hide from the army? is that scene convincing where he destroys the camp? Mani has simply taken the audience for granted. How can he start the movie with kidnap? And even that scene is not convincing. There should be some warmup before you can digest the characters' reactions | ||

The two filmmakers, who make no secret of their dislike, used twitter to hit back at each other. “I want to remake Raavan and I want to request Mani to remake Aag,” Varma wrote about Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan'. “I got a better idea.. I will make 'My name is Raavan' and Mani should make 'Raavan ki Kurbaan',” said Varma, taking a pot shot at Karan Johar's recently released films 'My Name Is Khan' and 'Kurbaan'. Varma also commented on Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming superhero film 'Raa.1'. “Let's all hope and pray that Raa.1 does not become SRK ki Baarish,” he added. To which, Johar tweeted: “@RGVzoomin...you have an amazing sense of humour Ramu!! Never shows up in your films though.” Not the one to be left behind, Varma shot back, “@kjohar25 ha ha karan because of the constant bashing I receive I developed my sense of humour as a defense mechanism (sic).” The whole argument started when Varma commented on the unfavourable reactions to Ratnam's latest film. “I have to bear with my flops and then also with everyones flops because whenever whoever's flop comes they invariably compare it with Aag. For Tashan they said it's Aditya ki Aag. For Chandni Chowk... they said Akshay ki Aag. For Kites they said Hritik ki Aag and now its Mani (Ratnam) ki Aag,” the director said. “Well am happy that if not for anything else I at least set a bench mark for flops.
