My expectations:

I still like the movie which released 10 years ago a lot, the reason to which i am still to find. Police Story had everything, high voltage dialogues, excellent performances from the artists with good action episodes. I expected Police Story 2 to be the same, if not better.
My view: The film had an interesting start right from the titles of the movie with the scenes being shown from the previous movie Police Story. But the director lost his grip on story telling by incorporating too many fights. Though the fights were good, too many of them spoiled everything. The movie lacked powerful dialogues from the hero. The comeback by Black Cobra marks the end of first half. The second half is even worse. Throughtout the second half Agni will be the chief security guard to CM and roams around the state. This made things worse because the earlier police Story had a hero who goes on to work for a better society by eliminating anti-social elements. The people were able to connect to that hero. But in this movie except for one scene where a SI dies and the things that follow, the whole second half is slapdash. Climax had everything to make it bad. It was shot in Bangkok. The movie had better technical values than the old one, but the whole feel is missing.



Artists and Technicians:

Thriller manju excelled in just one department and that is fights, he failed miserably in all other departments. Both the director and hero failed to deliver the goods. Sai Kumar has loads of talent but he failed to use it. Neglect on the part of the hero and director can only be the reason for such mediocre fare. RP Patnaik did a good job. His background score did elevate some scenes. Dailogues by P Ravi Kumar are good. But the powerful dialogues which everyone would expect were missing. The emotional turmoil that the hero goes through is not shown well in this movie. Tne one uSP of the Police Story 1.

Box Office Prediction:

The movie is surely going to do well in B and C centers and a complete washout in A centers. Good Publicity might do a world of good to this movie.

Verdict as a reviewer:

It can be said that Sai kumar didnt give his best. The supposedly comeback vehicle for the hero did not have the ingredients of a hit movie. Both the hero and the director wanted to cash upon the craze earlier movie had.

Punchline: Police Story - 2 (Agni is Back) - well i dont think so
