There's nothing to rave about the second half. The viewer simply fails to understand the thinking of the hero. He behaves as a "Sagatu Manishi" in the police station. When fighting the evil, the best word that would describe him is "Asaadhyudu". There is no particular characterisation for the hero. The climax is a big letdown and miles away from logic. After watching the movie, there's not even one good scene to recollect. We just wonder if it was really Eleti's film. Such is the pathetic situation of the movie.
Artists and Technicians:
Hatsoff to the director for stating his opinion that technicians are the real heros for any movie by stating their names first and then the artists' names at the credits. But we need to accept the fact that technicians can be a cause of failure at times. Chandrasekhar Yeleti is the only one to blame here. He failed miserably to keep the interest of the audience throughout the movie. His own set standards of output in the departments of direction and script work are no where to be seen except for the story.
The director looked for a commercial hit for which he had to hide his image. Keeravanis music is good at some points and average at some points. "Asalakkarledhu" and the "Duet" songs are good. Background score is upto the mark. Gopichand lives upto his standards. He excelled in his style of acting and dialogue delivery. Nothing great can be said about the other characters.
Box Office Prediction:
A movie of Anukokunda Oka Roju's calibre didnt get a good response from the audience, it can be pretty hard to say that the telugu audience will admire this movie. Though the audience are attracted to the style of gopichand, this will be restrictred to just the openings. The makers should thank their lady luck if the movie ends up as an average one, which is quite impossible.
Verdict as a reviewer:
We expect Biryani when we go to Bawarchi. When we are served with some other dish we refuse it. This is what exactly happens in the movie. Chandrasekhar made mistakes in the same way "SIMBHU" made after "MANMADHA". If the director's mindset was such that his previous venture wasnt a commercial hit and atleast this time he should focus on commercial elements, then its the mistake of the audience for making the director change his mindset and picking up a wrong path. Another point is that if its the directors own decision that he wanted to move away from his style of making movies, then its the fault of the director himself.
Tailpiece: "Some directors earn fans and some directors earn money. My sincere request to ELETI is that he should not be in list of the directors who cash on by making movies.
