Story:

Crime reporter Bala Govindam, fights with gudumba selling villian and he is badly hurt and is hospitilised. The father of the goon is on the look out for the hero and hero thus flees to Kulu Manali. Here he meets Vaishaili who is a sanysini. He falls in love with her and learns about her past and how he confronts the villian and wins her back forms the rest of the story.
We have seen similar stories in hundreds of movies, and one thing which would still keep up your hopes is the name Puri Jagannadh who can create wonders with a wafer thin story line. It can be said that he is only half-successful in this attempt. The first half is stuffed with all the masala that would be required for a superhit movie. But in the second half, he commits the same grave mistake he is known for. Except the dailogues department and comedy track, the movies lacks his trademark style and gripping storytelling capabilities.

A flop movie like Andhrawala and a industry hit movie Pokiri, these two movies have a strong hero characterisation. But in this movie this is what that has been missing. First half seems to be a result of more dedicated hard work for months on Puri's part. But at the same time second half is such a mediocre fare that you would wonder if it is wrapped up in haste..

Chakri, I still wonder how this guy has survived this long in the film industry. He has not cashed on with the oppurtunity given to him. His tunes are average and the background score is the worst in recent times after Sainikudu. Melody is nil and beat is abundant in his songs. Everytime a song comes up in second half one would curse Chakri.

Photography by Naidu has nothing to rave about except some fight sequences where he used different styles of canning fights.

Hansika is a beauty. She has everything that is needed in glam doll. Ali lives upto expectations with his excellent comedy track. Everytime he comes up on the screen you can do nothing but laugh at his style of expressing his life story in cine style. His police station fight ala chiru's KHAIDI, got the maximum response.

Allu Arjun has developed great physique and he is as usual exceptional at dances. His characterisation is nothing different from his previous movies. He has surely got the grace of Chiru and the speed of Hrithik in his dances. He is with no doubt the best dancer in the present set of heroes. He even worked hard for the stunts and fight sequences.

The movie had one of the best starts where a radio mirchi interviewer, asks normal junta who their favourite hero is. First half has got Puri's trademark dailogues and bunny dances with Ali's comedy perfectly weaved. One would wait for Ali to come onto the screen for his comedy. Interval bang is good.

The recharge scene between villian and hero is too good and got huge response. Other highlights are the way Ali says Gudumba Shankar and Giri Babu trying to learn Tamil. But coming to second half, it is packed with 6 fights and 3 songs, literally. Climax song with rambha has nothing to talk about. Infact the impact was ruined by bad photography.

The movie ends on a good note with Ali imitating NTR this time. To sum up, Puri has taken the movie up the ladder to a greater height and dropped down at a much greater pace. The ascent is FIRST HALF and the descent SECOND HALF.

VERDICT - AVERAGE
