why apple stores your data in cloud,its nothing but a distributed computing..

hadoop is much hyped. every cs grad does some kind of distributed computing project. it is similar to hadoop. hadoop is more sophisticated distributed computing..that's all.

then why hadoop needs amazon elastic cloud etc..


hadoop is just a distributed computing technology/tool. it has to be hosted some where. so it can be hosted on ec2.

cloud: is nothing but providing resources like hardware or software or combination of both.
